Tragic end during the night for an entrepreneur from Castelmola. The man, the 53 -year -old Giuseppe Carpita, died in an autonomous road accident that occurred around midnight on the provincial road 10 that leads to the small village
The victim was behind the wheel of a pick up and proceeded in the direction of Valle to return home, when the vehicle suddenly knocked down the wall that delimits the artery and fell for a few meters in the void, until it overturns on a building under construction. For the driver there was nothing to do and upon arrival of the rescue it was possible to do anything but to see the death. The carabinieri of the Taormina company and the firefighters of the Letojanni detachment intervened on the spot, who recovered the body of the entrepreneur by returning it to family members for the funeral. It is assumed that the accident may have been an illness accused by the 53 -year -old who was driving. Giuseppe Carpita was known by everyone as an esteemed and tireless worker, an example of righteousness and humility, and his premature disappearance left the community of Castelmola in shock.
