The initiative of the EU Commission on small electric vehicles at affordable prices will aim to make “that the automotive manufacturers of the European Union enter the market models that could cost between 15 and 20 thousand euros”. This was stated by the executive vice -president of the European Commission Stéphane Séjourné in public session to the EU competitiveness in Brussels. Announced by Ursula von der Leyen, the initiative ‘Small Affordable Cars’ “will support the demand” and will introduce a “real range that today is not taken into consideration in the European market and which could in any case stimulate production”, added the vice president.
