The trial, with immediate judgment, ended for the aggression denounced by the mayor of San Filippo del Mela Giovanni Pino, defended by the lawyer. Diego Lanza, and by the assessors of the same municipality. Under accusation were Salvatore Calderone, 48 years of San Filippo del Mela, owner of the Acquapark Belvedere located in the Olivarella hamlet, and one of his employees, the Messina Santo Caleca, 56 years old, with criminal prejudices, for which the arrest had triggered on 6 September last year, then the ban on approaching offended people.
The Court of Barcelona, criminal section, in monochrome composition chaired by the judge Silvia Maria Spina, pronounced the sentence of conviction against Calderone and Caleca: the two defendants, defended by the lawyers Salvatore Silvestro and Giuseppe Calabrò, were recognized guilty of the crimes disputed and sentenced to the sentence of 11 months of imprisonment each, in addition to the payment of the procedural costs. For Calderone, the penalty was suspended within the terms and for the effects of the law; While for Caleca, due to prejudices the suspension, it was not granted.
