In the “Italo Falcomatà” chandeliers’ salon of Palazzo San Giorgio four new guards for the environment and echo zoophile have made an oath, formalizing their commitment in the protection and safeguarding of the environment in front of the mayor of Reggio Calabria Giuseppe Falcomatà. These are volunteers of the National Animal Protection Authority ODV, ENPA and OIPA ITALIA ODV,

A significant moment that underlines the entry of the new Guardians into the environmental protection body, ready to face the challenges related to the defense of the territory and natural resources. An activity that will be carried out in collaboration with the institutions and local communities to guarantee a more sustainable future for generations to come. The associations with today’s oath are enriched with new forces, ready to play a crucial role in the awareness, control and intervention activities in the ecological field.

The mayor thanked the volunteers “for the active role that with the oath showed as citizens within the society and for the activity that carry out as a precise choice that highlights a sensitivity to the themes of the environment in general and to common goods”. The ceremony ended with a renewed commitment by all those present to work together for the defense and enhancement of natural resources, in an increasingly urgent period for our ecosystem.
