The “Spice Express”, an investigation by the Carabinieri of the Operational Department of Messina and the Barcelona Company lasting months, is the story of an organization that imported everything, also from Holland, but above all guaranteed to the boys the “Spice X”, the very dangerous synthetic drug that literally burns your brain day after day. There were many who managed the traffic that flooded with drugs above all Barcelona and Milazzo, each with a precise role, but the 38 -year -old Barcelona Filippo Genovese said the “Scottish” at that time, who then became a collaborator of justice and told everything.
A group also dedicated to importing from Campania, Calabria, Spain, Lombardy, and then to the detention and marketing of drugs, including the dangerous synthetic cannabinoid known as “spice”, and then cocaine and marijuana. The operation was completed thanks to the revelations as well as of Genoese also by Gabriele Abbas, another of the traffic managers. At different times they then became collaborators of justice. The organization, operating since 2019, used a network of drug dealers and suppliers, with well -defined roles within the group. The operation also revealed an armed group and made up of over ten people, including individuals dedicated to the use of drugs, further aggravating the accusations. The intervention of the Carabinieri of the Operational Unit of the Barcelona Company represented a serious blow for the drug trafficking, for one of the most dangerous organizations in recent years.
