The solemn closing celebration of the diocesan Jubilee will take place on Sunday 28 December 2025, at 4.30 pm, at the Basilica of Maria Santissima Immacolata in Catanzaro.

The celebration, presided over by the Metropolitan Archbishop HE Mons. Claudio Maniago, concludes an intense year of grace and shared journey which involved the entire diocesan Church through a complex spiritual, pastoral and community journey, experienced in the parishes, sanctuaries and territory.

In particular, the diocesan Jubilee was marked by the Jubilee Paths – Cammino Mariano del Corace, Cammino Bruniano, Cammino delle Preserre and Cammino Vivariense – which led parish groups, associations, families and individual believers to rediscover the pilgrimage as an experience of faith, brotherhood and conversion.

The beating heart of this itinerary were the Jubilee churches, with special attention to the Marian sanctuaries, places of memory, trust and hope, which welcomed pilgrims and held moments of prayer, reconciliation and sacramental celebration, strengthening the bond between faith, territory and community.

The Solemn Closing Celebration does not only represent a final moment, but is configured as a synthesis and relaunch of the journey accomplished: an ecclesial act that entrusts the fruits of the Jubilee to the Lord and renews the commitment of the Church of Catanzaro-Squillace to be a credible sign of hope in the present time.

As a sign of ecclesial communion and choral participation, the afternoon Masses are suspended in all the parishes of the Archdiocese, to allow priests, religious and faithful to fully participate in this unique diocesan moment.
