The provincial road 234 Riva Destra Crati, an artery considered strategic for mobility between Zumpano and the urban area of Cosenza and Rende, has been reopened to traffic. In the afternoon, at 3.40pm, an inspection was carried out to verify the conclusion of the interventions in the presence of the acting president of the Province of Cosenza Giancarlo Lamensa and the organisation’s technicians.

Thanks from the mayor of Zumpano

Satisfaction was expressed by the mayor of Zumpano, the lawyer Fabrizio Fabiano, who highlighted the institutional collaboration that made the reopening of the road possible.

«I would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the Province of Cosenza, to the acting president Giancarlo Lamensa and to the engineer Gianluca Morrone for the commitment and attention shown towards our territory. The closure of the SP 234 caused inconvenience for citizens, commuters and economic activities, with the movement of traffic flows towards Rende, which was already heavily congested. Today the reopening of this artery represents a concrete sign of attention towards our community.”

Smoother traffic in the urban area

The reopening of the provincial road now makes it possible to lighten traffic in the urban area of Rende and to re-establish smoother mobility conditions for citizens and commuters, restoring full functionality to a road considered fundamental for the connections of the entire Cosenza area.
