The new day in Calabria always dawns with that same anguished lament of prices at the distributor that grow and generate discontent. According to the Observatory of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, yesterday, self-service diesel exceeded, on average, 2.043 euros per litre, with increases of more than a cent in just 24 hours. Over the course of a week, a fifty-litre tank of diesel costs up to twenty euros more. And the scratch appears even deeper if you look back a few days: on February 28, when American and Israeli planes began bombing Iran, energy prices began to shoot upwards. Diesel, at the pump, was still paying 1.679 euros per litre. In just over a week, therefore, the increase exceeded 40 cents, in some cases even touching fifty.
