A sailing vessel ran aground overnight on the beach of Capo Rizzuto. According to reports from the Port Authority of Crotone, the episode is linked to a rescue operation which took place during the night. There were two tourists on board the boat who were made safe.
The weather conditions did not allow the sailing ship to be anchored and towed, so it was left at the mercy of the waves and then ended up beached on the island’s coast. Not far from the sailing ship, a lifeboat also arrived on the same beach, probably prepared by the workers themselves as soon as they sensed the danger.
