A constant commitment and attention to the entire metropolitan area. These are the two pillars on which the action of the acting metropolitan mayor Carmelo Versace is based. «And they are the result – he explains – of an increasingly direct relationship with the 97 mayors of the metropolitan area. I believe this is the summary of our political activity at Palazzo Alvaro, the result of hundreds of inspections and meetings outside the buildings, which represent a modus operandi that has allowed us, even in a context of continuous cuts in transfers to local authorities, to give certain answers in the sectors of our competence: school buildings, territorial marketing, roads, culture, protection of the territory”. Versace offers a contribution of reflection, in this last glimpse of the council at the helm of Palazzo Alvaro, after having taken charge of the organization following the forfeiture of the mayor Giuseppe Falcomatà, elected to the regional council.
