«A designation that rewards competence and experience». Thus the parliamentarian Francesco Cannizzaro, vice-president of Forza Italia deputies and regional secretary of the party in Calabria, commented on the appointment by the CSM of Giuseppe Campagna as president of the Court of Reggio Calabria.
Cannizzaro’s comment
According to Cannizzaro, Campagna’s choice represents “the right recognition of a linear professional path, made up of constant and impeccable commitment, built in the name of the highest values of the State”. The parliamentarian also proudly highlighted that “a real Reggino” was identified for this “delicate and prestigious assignment”.
“The best judiciary in Italy in Reggio”
In his speech, Cannizzaro then recalled the value of the work carried out by the judiciary in a complex territorial context such as that of Calabria. «In a complex area like ours, the role of the judiciary is fundamental – he declared – and I have never hidden great appreciation and admiration for the men and women involved in the world of justice in Calabria, as I have also highlighted during numerous public meetings».
The vice-president of the Forza Italia deputies then added that he has always maintained that «in Reggio we can boast the best judiciary in Italy, with levels of competence that have seen it set the example on an international level for years now».
Finally, Cannizzaro wished Campagna well in his work, saying he was certain that he will lead the Court of Reggio Calabria “with authority, competence and a great sense of institutions”, continuing “with determination in his commitment to defending legality and combating crime and injustice”, also through the necessary institutional synergies for the territory.
