A 64-year-old man died in a road accident that occurred in the area between the provinces of Catanzaro and Crotone, in the municipality of Belcastro, on state road 106. The victim is a pensioner from Botricello who was traveling in a car. For reasons currently under investigation, the small car was crushed by an articulated lorry against the guardrail. Another car driven by a man who was injured was also involved in the accident. Traffic was completely blocked in both directions until the rescue operations and investigations were completed.
The 118 health workers with the air ambulance, firefighters and ANAS teams immediately intervened at the site of the accident, engaged in rescue operations and making the area safe.
