On the A2 “Autostrada del Mediterraneo” the section at km 366.700 heading south, between the Gerocarne and Mileto junctions, is temporarily closed due to a heavy vehicle on fire stopped in a lay-by, near the entrance to the San Francesco tunnel.
For vehicles heading south, the mandatory exit has been arranged at the Sant’Onofrio junction, with a detour along the SS18 and subsequent return to the motorway at the Rosarno junction. At the same time, the southbound entrance ramps of the Vazzano and Gerocarne interchanges remain closed. Anas teams, traffic police and firefighters are present on site, involved in managing the emergency and restoring normal circulation in the shortest time possible.
