«When we talk about “three pennies” thrown into landfill we are not resorting to a rhetorical formula, but we are precisely photographing an administrative event in which a significant public investment ends up being treated as waste». The public complaint is from the architect Antonella Postorino, member of the Forza Italia citizen coordination, who makes known – also with photographic material – what is happening with the “Opera” installation by the artist Edoardo Tresoldi. Following the damage caused by bad weather to some of the columns, the deformed structures were cut “and disposed of off-site, as if they were simple waste material. This “contribution”, moreover, appears to take place in the green area belonging to the Pentimele sports hall, where the columns, in a state of abandonment – underlines Postorino – lie among debris and other waste materials, without any evidence of management or safety measures. A choice that raises questions not only on an administrative level, but also on an environmental and transparency level, considering that the area in question has a completely different destination”.
