Stop “for rent” and “for sale” signs displayed irregularly. The Municipality of Praia a Mare has issued an ordinance to regulate the presence of notices and panels visible from public streets, with the aim of protecting urban decorum and safety.

New rules for signs and announcements

The provision introduces clear limits: the signs can only be displayed on the properties to which they refer, with small dimensions (maximum A3 format) and in good condition. Posting on electricity poles, road signs, trees and street furniture is prohibited, as is the use of light supports or precarious installations.

The ordinance arises from the growing presence of notices placed in a disorderly and often dangerous way for traffic, with the aim of guaranteeing a more orderly and decorous visual layout of the territory: contentReference(oaicite:0){index=0}.

Obligations for holiday homes and tight deadlines

Particular attention is paid to properties intended for tourist rentals: the signs must bear the identification codes required by law (CIN and CIR) and comply with a standard municipal model.

There is also a seven-day deadline to adapt or remove any non-compliant signs. Failure to do so will result in administrative fines ranging from 25 to 500 euros.

The checks will be entrusted to the local police. The ordinance is already effective and aims to restore order and decorum to the city streets, especially in view of the tourist season.
