The Milazzo Junior team, coached by Mister Presti, brings joy and satisfaction to President Versaci’s club. Yesterday the Mamertines won the Under 19 regional title, beating Athletic Palermo with a clear 4-0 in the final played in Castelbuono, a neutral venue in the competition.
Poker in the final and qualification
A convincing performance from the rossoblù, who closed the score thanks to goals from Moschella, a brace from Lele Greco and the final seal from Canevari. A success that is worth the pass to the national phase of the championship.
The winning path had already begun in the previous days, when on Thursday Milazzo got the better of Gela of the same age in the quadrangular match also played in Castelbuono. Lele Greco was also decisive on that occasion, scoring after taking to the field the day before with the first team against Vigor Lamezia.
Now the national phase
Once the regional phase has been archived, the team will return to the field in early May to face the national phase. Milazzo will face one of Scafatese, winner of group L, Palmese or Paganese.
An important milestone for the Mamertine youth sector, which continues to grow and showcase talents capable of distinguishing themselves even beyond regional borders.
