The decree has been published on the website of the regional department of Agriculture of Sicily by which financing is extended to all 2,293 applications for participation in the 2025 call for “Integrated production”, as part of the Pac 2023-2027 (Intervention SRA 01- ACA 1), intended for farmers who adopt work practices with low environmental impact, reducing the use of chemical products. The intervention is part of the objectives of the national strategy for the mitigation of climate change, through efficient management of natural resources such as water and soil. The financial availability of 23 million euros would have allowed the financing of only 908 applications per year for three years, while, thanks to this intervention by the department, all applications that pass the preliminary checks and for all three years of validity of the tender will be eligible for payment (2025-2027). A result made possible thanks to the commitment of the regional administration to find the necessary resources, through a specific remodulation of the funds.
