FEAMPA European tenders, protection and restoration of marine biodiversity in Calabria: five funded projects

There are projects to protect and conserve marine biological resources, improve the environmental state of aquatic ecosystems, as well as innovative actions to safeguard the marine environment, among those financed under the FEAMPA Programme, of the Public Notice “Contributing to the protection and restoration of biodiversity and aquatic ecosystems”, promoted by the Department of Agriculture, inland areas and territorial connection policies of the Calabria Region.

In total there are 5 eligible and financed projects presented by the municipalities of Pizzo, Zambrone, Briatico, by the WWF Vibo Valentia – Vallata dello Stilaro ETS and by the Anton Dohrn Zoological Station for a total of approximately 1 million and 800 thousand euros.

The tender, in fact, was intended for Provinces, Municipalities, Metropolitan Cities, Unions of Municipalities and Universities, but also for scientific and technical bodies registered in the National Research Registry and for environmental protection associations.

“We care about marine biodiversity and the protection of the seabed, defaced by illegal practices such as trawling.
