Traffic disruptions along the A2 Reggio Calabria branch to allow maintenance work on the “Torbido” viaduct. This was communicated by ANAS, which has ordered a narrowing of the roadway in the stretch between the Gallico and Reggio Calabria Porto interchanges.
The measure became necessary following technical checks on the structure, which highlighted the need to intervene on the substructures of the viaduct.
In detail, the limitations affect the stretch between kilometer 6.970 and kilometer 7.350, where the speed limit of 60 km/h and the overtaking ban have been established, with further reductions near the construction site.
The restrictions will remain in force until the completion of the interventions, expected before the start of the summer season, with the aim of guaranteeing full usability of the artery in view of the increase in traffic flows.
ANAS also announced that work on the entire infrastructure will resume in September: the interventions will be programmed in such a way as to ensure continuity of circulation at every stage.
