Early in the morning yesterday, Renato Schifani summoned councilor Daniela Faraoni to Palazzo d’Orleans asking her to resign, but received a sharp and annoyed no. A few minutes later she entered President Nuccia Albano’s study. And from Rome Fratelli d’Italia confirmed that it would not have changed Elvira Amata even after the indictment. Hence the acceleration that led to the appointment of new councilors in the afternoon.
The DC returns to the council and takes back the Department of Labor with Albano herself. The Mpa goes from one to two departments, even if Raffaele Lombardo pushed to have Work/Family right up until the end. And then, at the last minute, he chose to indicate Elisa Ingala, an accountant and former municipal councilor of Caltanissetta and judicial administrator of companies subject to preventive seizure, in place of the Gelese Valeria Caci, in pole position until lunchtime. It goes to local authorities.
But the surprise is the relay at Healthcare between Faraoni and Marcello Caruso. The politically heaviest seat goes to the former coordinator of Forza Italia and current personal secretary of Schifani. Thanks to the crossed vetoes that paralyzed the negotiations between the Berlusconi supporters: the favorite has long been Nicola D’Agostino but this would have strengthened too much the Cardinal current which already counts on Edy Tamajo in Productive Activities.
