A 39-year-old woman and a 10-year-old girl, mother and daughter, are hospitalized, with a reserved prognosis, in the intensive care unit of the Annunziata in Cosenza. Their health conditions are quite serious due to an accident (the car they were traveling in went off the road and the causes are being examined by the Carabinieri of the Paola Company) which occurred the other night on the SS 18. The woman, a doctor, was first transported to the “San Francesco” hospital in Paola, where surgery was necessary, then she was transferred to the Bruzio hospital. The little girl was also treated by doctors. Both suffered serious trauma. The conditions remain serious and under constant monitoring but, although the prognosis has not yet been resolved, they are not life-threatening.
