Lorenzo Musetti will not participate in Roland Garros. The Italian tennis player himself announced it through his social media profiles, explaining that he was forced to stop due to an injury.

The injury and the stop

“After yesterday’s match I underwent medical tests which highlighted an injury to the rectus femoris, which will force me to have a few weeks of rest and recovery. Unfortunately this prevents me from participating in the tournaments in Hamburg and Roland Garros, news that weighs on me enormously,” wrote Musetti.

Thanks to the public

The tennis player also wanted to thank the Roman public: “Thank you very much to the Roman public for their extraordinary affection: it was the reason why, although not 100%, I wanted to take to the court and give everything in my home tournament.”

Musetti finally assured that he will continue to update fans on his condition during his recovery process.
