Great success for the students of the Ainis high school, Curvature Theater and Cinema, who obtained a very important recognition at the XXV edition of “Pulcinellamente”, one of the most prestigious Italian events dedicated to school theatre. The students from Messina brought to the stage an intense rereading of “The Trojan Women” by Euripides, enriched by references to other tragic texts and the writings of Hannah Arendt and Bertolt Brecht. A show capable of blending classical tragedy and contemporary reflection, winning the “PulciOpera” award, assigned to works that combine theatrical strength, civil commitment and emotion. To make the result even more prestigious was the award for “best actress” awarded to Elisa Mangano, student of the IV high school Human Sciences Curvature Theater and Cinema and interpreter of Ecuba. The preparation of the students and the direction of the show were handled by the teacher Serenella Scuto with the help of the actress and director Simonetta Pisano, supported by Chiara Soraci (assistant director) Simone De Domenico (audio technician). The school director Alessandra Minniti is satisfied, having supported the project throughout the school year. The show will be on stage again on Tuesday 19th at 8.30pm at the Palacultura with free admission.
