Green light for the 121 thousand euro project for the renovation of the large rooms and toilets of the Teatro Vittorio Emanuele in Messina. The provision, which aims to restore the full functionality of the spaces for artists and workers, was formalized by the extraordinary commissioner of the Municipality, Piero Mattei, at the request of the governance of the theater institution led by Orazio Miloro.
The regional councilor for Tourism, Sport and Entertainment, Elvira Amata, spoke about the financing and declared: “The approval of the project represents a concrete sign of attention towards one of the main cultural centers of the city and the whole of Sicily. When institutions operate in synergy and promptly, it is possible to provide effective responses even to critical issues that risk impacting regular artistic activity “. Finally, the representative of the regional council specified that this urgent intervention constitutes only the first step in a broader process, which will have to lead to an extraordinary maintenance plan for the entire complex.
