“In Lipari, for several months now, it has no longer been possible to carry out medical-legal visits for the renewal of A and B driving licenses and citizens are forced to move off the island, with obvious logistical inconveniences and a significant economic burden”. This was highlighted in a document forwarded to the general director of ASP Messina, Giuseppe Cuccì, and to the director of the Lipari Health District, Giuseppe Quaranta, by the eight opposition councilors within the Lipari municipal council.
The reported situation has continued since, following the retirement of Dr. Rita Zingales, the Forensic and Fiscal Medicine service in the Lipari District was no longer guaranteed, as she was never replaced.
