He was one of the most active parliamentarians for the city, one of my very first advisors also from the party, the regional coordinator of Forza Italia, so he has shown over the years that he deserves this success, which is a historic success, not at all taken for granted, because for twelve years this city was governed by the centre-left, therefore not at all taken for granted and extraordinary even in its size”. «The Region – said Occhiuto – has already done a lot for Reggio Calabria, Francis said. The regional government will be even more present for this extraordinary city, for the metropolitan area of Reggio, because today there is a mayor who has a solid political relationship but also a solid friendship with those who govern the Region. Even in past years, although this city was governed by the centre-left, the Region has always been very close to the citizens of Reggio. It is clear that it will be even more so and with greater enthusiasm.”
