A school bus was hit by a train at a level crossing this morning in Buggenhout, Flanders. According to the newspaper Le Soir, several people lost their lives in the accident. The information was confirmed by Infrabel, the railway network manager. The collision occurred around 8.15 am at the level crossing located at the intersection of Stationsstraat and Vierhuizen Street. The circumstances are still under investigation, but initial information indicates that the level crossing was closed at the time of the accident.
