Great chamber music returns to be the protagonist in the heart of Calabria. On Friday 29 May 2026, at 6.00 pm, the Concert Hall of the Municipality of Catanzaro will open its doors for an absolutely prestigious event included in the rich Concert Season curated by the Associazione Giovanile Musicale (A.Gi.Mus.) of Catanzaro.

The event, which enjoys the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Catanzaro, promises to be one of the most interesting moments of the city’s spring programming.

The program: a dialogue between two centuries

The concert, significantly titled “Colours and Sound Contrasts between the 19th and 20th centuries”, will offer the public an exciting itinerary through the most intense and fascinating pages of musical literature between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

It will be an unmissable opportunity to listen to how classical forms have evolved and transformed, giving life to new expressive nuances, in a historical period characterized by profound artistic and cultural revolutions.

Three young talents on stage

Giving body and soul to this sound journey will be a trio of exceptional musicians, capable of combining technical rigor and interpretative sensitivity: Valeria Procopio on the clarinet, Lavinia Mancuso on the flute, Karol Grazia Mascaro on the piano

The intertwining of the wind instruments and the keyboard promises to create that perfect balance and that play of “colors and contrasts” promised by the title of the evening. The artistic direction of the entire season is entrusted, as usual, to the expert and attentive signature of Laura Screnci.
