The work Ecce Homo by Antonello da Messina, currently kept in L’Aquila, will stop in Messina, Reggio Calabria and before that in Palermo. This was announced by the Minister of Culture, Alessandro Giuli, in a letter sent to Il Foglio, regarding the interview given to the same newspaper by the vice president of the Chamber of Deputies in which he asked the Minister of Culture to allocate the work “Ecce Homo” by Antonello da Messina to Palermo, to reunite it with the “Annunziata”, kept in Palazzo Abatellis.

“I have read the interview with the vice president of the Chamber of Deputies, my friend Giorgio Mulè – writes Giuli – and I have the honor to inform my “Fogliuzzo” that the painting Ecce Homo by Antonello da Messina, resident in L’Aquila and domiciled throughout Italy, will travel to Messina and Reggio Calabria, to build a (cultural) bridge over the Strait, but its first passage in Sicily will take place in Palermo where Madre (Annunciata) and Son (Ecce Homo) will find the family reunification invoked by the Honorable Mulè”.
