He remained untraceable after the prison order was issued in an attempt to escape justice, but was tracked down and arrested by the Carabinieri of the Melito Company of Porto Salvo, with the support of the soldiers of the Saline Station of Montebello Jonico.
The man was the recipient of an execution order for imprisonment issued by the Criminal Enforcement Office of the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Reggio Calabria. He must serve a one-year prison sentence after being found guilty of the crime of aggravated residential burglary.
The sentence became final at the beginning of the year, after the sentence of the Court of Reggio Calabria confirmed by the Court of Appeal.
After the restrictive measure was issued, the man disappeared without a trace. At the end of a search activity that lasted over a week, the police identified him inside a house registered to another person, where he had found refuge.
Having completed the formalities, the arrested person was taken to the competent penitentiary institution, at the disposal of the judicial authority.
