The hearing at the Catania Regional Administrative Court has been set for October 20th in which the first electoral appeal presented on the outcome of the Messina administrative elections of May 24th and 25th will be discussed. It was presented on behalf of the citizens Michele Laghezza and Giuseppe Currò by the lawyers Giuseppe Losi and Roberto Materia, who dispute the admission of the fifteen lists in support of Federico Basile.
Another appeal was presented by the lawyer Paolo Starvaggi, who had already started an action at the TAR together with Angelo Giorgianni: in this case, in addition to the admission of the lists, the calling of the elections itself is also contested, in light of the timing followed by the mayor for his resignation last February. On October 1st, however, the hearing will be held relating to the appeal presented against the outcome of the elections which took place in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, won here too by the South Calls North candidate, Melangela Scolaro.
