The news is certainly not a big surprise, given that the opposition has already feared it in recent weeks and given that it is a mandatory procedure. But since yesterday it has taken on the characteristics of a certain officiality: the prefecture of Catanzaro has warned the municipality of Lamezia Terme for the now clear delay in the approval of the 2025 financial statement. Time 20 days – therefore by July 20th – or, the usual ghost that returns cyclically, will be the dissolution of the council. According to what is transpiring in these hours, in fact, the warning arrived directly via certified e-mail to the presidency of the council, with the reminder signed by the deputy vice-prefect which recalls the well-known deadline of 30 April (which later became 31 May for the extension granted to the municipalities affected by Hurricane Harry) and, above all, articles 227 and 141 of the Tuel which represent the main regulatory references for these cases.
