In the last few hours the final word has arrived in the negotiations between the president of Cosenza, Eugenio Guarascio, and the entrepreneur Vincenzo Rota for the possible transfer of ownership of the rossoblù club. The confidentiality agreements signed between the parties were not enough, nor the long mediation effort carried out by the respective lawyers, nor the delicate work of the accountant Luca Di Donna and the lawyer Giuseppe Carratelli, in an attempt to find a meeting point. One of the main issues would have been represented by the company’s debt situation, estimated at around nine million euros. The proposal put forward by the consortium concerned initially envisaged the assumption of part of the debts and subsequently of the entire debt situation and also a bonus for president Guarascio in the event of promotion to Serie B. A solution which, however, would not have fully convinced, causing the comparison to founder.
