For the port of Corigliano Calabro, 7.3 million are on the table for logistics and roads, but the real turning point could be the destination of quay 1 as a cruise terminal. The institutional tour promoted by the Port System Authority of the Southern Tyrrhenian and Ionian Seas concluded in recent days.
The Management Committee, led by president Paolo Piacenza, stopped in the port of Corigliano Calabro to define the strategic lines of development, verify the state of the infrastructure and present the investment plan planned for the port.
The organisation’s delegation – made up of Committee members Salvatore Gaetano, Massimo Galante and Natale Polimeni, together with the manager Giuseppe Cardona – was welcomed by the commander of the Port Authority, Frigate Captain Tullio Arcangeli, for an inspection by sea aimed at taking stock of the growth prospects of the infrastructure. The investment plan is important: over 7 million euros for 2026.
During the subsequent meeting with the mayor of Corigliano Rossano, Flavio Stasi, the details of the System Strategic Programming Document (DPSS) were outlined and, in particular, the resources allocated by the Three-Year Operational Plan (Pot). For the port of Corigliano Calabro, the 2026 year foresees total investments of 7.3 million euros.
