The lobsters caught in the waters of Torretta are very popular on the web. A day of fishing to remember for Giannino Labonia which ended with the capture of two large lobsters, immortalized in a photograph which made the rounds on social media in just a few hours, arousing curiosity and admiration. Mr. Labonia, in the photo, proudly shows two specimens of Mediterranean lobsters (Palinurus elephas), one of the most prized crustaceans that can reach a weight of 8 kilos and a length of around 50 centimetres, although the most common specimens measure between 25 and 40 centimeters and live on rocky seabeds, generally between 20 and 200 meters deep, where they find refuge among ravines and underwater caves. The two specimens have aroused curiosity and admiration among residents and some tourists who have just arrived on holiday but, above all, among fishing and seafood enthusiasts, as these crustaceans are a true gastronomic delicacy. A truly special capture on the Torrettana Riviera that offers emotions.
