Donald Trump announced that the United States will strike Iran hard between Monday and Tuesday evening. He declared this during the Hugh Hewitt Show, the radio program hosted by the conservative Hugh Hewitt. When asked about the memorandum of understanding with Tehran, Trump claimed that it was “a test” for Iran, adding that the country “did not respect it”.
Trump: «We will hit Pickaxe Mountain»
During the interview, the former president also warned that the United States will target Pickaxe Mountain, an underground tunnel complex that he claims hosts a secret nuclear site near Natanz, in the mountains about 300 kilometers south of Tehran.
The letter to Congress
Trump also said he had formally notified Congress that the United States was once again at war with Iran. In a letter dated July 10, seen by Politicalsays the attacks that began on July 7 constitute “military action consistent with my responsibility to protect Americans and U.S. interests, both at home and abroad.”
