Two provisions prohibiting access to sporting events (Daspo) were notified in recent days by the State Police to as many individuals held responsible for the serious episodes of violence that occurred during a football match played on 12 April.

The measures, issued by the Reggio Calabria Police Headquarters at the end of July, are the result of the investigative activity carried out by the Polistena Police Department after the brawl that broke out during the Third Category match, Group G, between Real Polistena and Sinopolese.

The match was suspended after the scuffle

The match, played at the “F. Zerbi” municipal stadium in Polistena, was characterized by a violent scuffle involving some members of the two teams.

The situation had made the intervention of the police necessary and had pushed the match director to order the definitive suspension of the match.

The two Daspo, prepared by the Anti-Crime Police Division, are part of the prevention activity aimed at combating episodes of violence in sports facilities and protecting the safety of spectators, athletes and operators involved in sporting events.
