CROTONE – Cosenza conquers the “Scida” and beats Crotone 2-0 in the Coppa Italia Serie C derby. Balanced match in the first half, with the Sharks improving towards the end. The first real opportunity comes in the 27th minute: Zunno serves Iliev on the right, but his shot is blocked by the goalkeeper. In the 44th minute Zunno again puts the Sila defense in difficulty, while a minute later Ciotti heads in a great response from Merelli. We go to half-time at 0-0. In the second half Cosenza struck immediately: in the 5th minute Achour, following a corner from the right, anticipated everyone and scored the 0-1 with his head. Crotone reacts with Crapisto, Spadoni and Musso, but without finding the equalizer. In the 35th minute Crapisto almost scored with a long-range shot after an outgoing error by Iliev. In the 38th minute the second goal arrives: Pozzi, served by Ragone, appears in front of Merelli and doesn’t make a mistake. Cosenza closes at 2-0 and continues their journey in the Italian Cup.
