Cateno De Luca does not stop his moving train. After the landslide municipal elections with Federico Basile and the second level elections to the metropolitan council, the focus is on the Region. And today he explains his strategy. From the flag hall of Palazzo Zanca with Accanto Basile, he gives two appointments. One on August 15th, the date in which it suggests there will be news and a public one on August 31st in which the entire lists and individual compositions will be presented. De Luca is peremptory on alliances: “Whoever embraces our program will be our side.” And it highlights the 7 seats obtained in the metropolitan city which give the south and north a majority: 57%. And it highlights the progress made since 2025: we started with 209 weighted votes. In the last elections there were 328. Almost double. On the Presidency of the Region no step backwards and he also explains why: “I don’t see men or women capable of administering Sicily”.

De Luca: “Now the objective is to elect at least four deputies from the South and call the North to the Ars”
“The results of the administrative elections of Messina and the Metropolitan City of Messina were clear: South calls North has no rivals! We had indicated two precise objectives – declared Cateno De Luca on social media – and we achieved both. When we decided to bring forward the vote in Messina we explained that it was necessary to regain governability for the Municipality and the Metropolitan City. On 24 and 25 May the people of Messina re-elected Federico Basile with almost 60%.
The second response arrived on July 27th. In the metropolitan elections, South Calls North went from 4 to 7 councillors, reaching almost 50% of the weighted vote. With our seven councilors and the metropolitan mayor Federico Basile today we have the absolute majority and therefore the tools to carry forward our administrative vision.
When they cornered us we reacted. The results are these. This game is closed. Now another one begins. The province of Messina elects eight deputies to the Sicilian Regional Assembly and, based on the trend we are consolidating, our goal is to win at least four!”.
