I would like to remind the people of Reggio that this land may not be governed by a Roman proconsul, nor by a follower of the fascists who set fire to Reggio in 1970. I was there… That Revolt, also born for sacrosanct reasons, was later transformed into a terrorist attack on democracy. I am part of those who allowed democracy to endure. It’s not everything but it’s not little. These elections will be an identity challenge: Vannacci is the identity of hate; Forza Italia, that of power.”
And what is the identity of the centre-left?
«Those of a politics that must deal with the human dimension, talk to people and take charge of their problems. Politics cannot be a pure game of power. I offer myself as an instrument of the territory. I am a left-wing independent, I have my ideas and I try to make them compatible with those of others.”
