It is one of the most evocative summer Marian festivals that of the Madonna della Lettera in Torre Faro, a seaside village that overlooks the Strait with innate hope. With the cry of Long Live Mary, the simulacrum, wrapped in its blue cloak adorned with votive offerings and accompanied by the group of bearers, was welcomed outside the church by many devotees and walked through the streets of the town in procession; the parish priest Mons. led the procession. Giuseppe La Speme with councilor Stello Vadalà; Military authorities and volunteers from municipal civil protection associations were also present. An order from the Port Authority has been prepared for the launch of fireworks launched on the beach in front of the Pylon. Several tranches are expected; the last one from 11.30pm to midnight. This year the statue of the Madonna parades with the silver star; the prototype (one of the stars) is hanging from the Child’s arm.
