Shooting in Viale Affaccio. This morning a 60-year-old was hit by multiple shots fired from close range. Despite the violent dynamics, the injuries reported were not serious: the man was transported to the emergency room of the Jazzolino hospital, where he was treated and is still undergoing the necessary investigations. However, a second episode then emerged: a physical assault. The injured man’s son, upon leaving the hospital, was apparently stopped by some people and violently beaten, and he too had to seek medical attention.

Investigators are now evaluating whether the two attacks are connected and whether they could represent a reprisal or an escalation of tensions that had already emerged in the previous days; because among the leads being examined by the investigators there would be a dispute which degenerated into a brawl which occurred about 48 hours earlier near a car wash in the area. Therefore, investigators are trying to understand whether that episode could have triggered the spiral of violence that culminated in the shooting and attack. The Police maintain maximum confidentiality, but it cannot be ruled out that new elements useful for identifying those responsible may emerge in the next few hours.
