After this morning’s explosion, a new bomb alert was triggered at the central station in Augsburg, Bavaria. According to Bild, a dog trained to sniff out explosives aimed at a rubbish bin. Train movement was completely suspended and the station closed.
A bomb exploded in the morning, around 5am, in front of the window of a Turkish jeweler in a corridor of the station and two children aged 17 and 18 suffered minor injuries from the shock wave. The police are following the trail of organized crime.

Window glass was also damaged by the explosion, the cause of which is still unknown.

The bomb squad from the Bavarian Regional Criminal Office are on site. Due to the ongoing intervention, the streets in the central station area are currently closed to traffic, writes the police on X. Local public transport in Augusta is also affected by the disruption.
