That the by-elections are a test for the stability of the centre-right, moreover, is no mystery: the first time for General Vannacci’s party is a “time bomb”, destined to provide important indications. It is no coincidence, therefore, that the big names of the centre-right – on Sunday in the large audience at Palazzo Campanella for the presentation of the candidate Fabio Roscioli – spoke of Reggio as a “national laboratory”.
How much Vannacci will “erode” the center-right with the candidacy of Domenico Giannetta and when the wide field, which fields Frank Benedetto, will take advantage of it are the unknowns for all to see. The meeting on 27 and 28 September will certainly weigh the new balance.
