The numbers and their analysis act as a counterbalance to the (propaganda?) narrative of the Calabrian reality, with the aim of stimulating political action aimed at concretely intervening on the structural – and deep-rooted – problems of Calabria. In this spirit, the former president of the Region Agazio Loiero and Franco Petramala, former director of the ASP of Cosenza and director of the Department of Presidency of the Calabria Region, promoted a meeting which focused on the analysis offered by Domenico Cersosimo, economist and professor emeritus of Unical. The audience – which filled the large room of a well-known hotel in the Lametino area – was made up of well-known figures of current and present politics. From the mayors of Catanzaro and Cosenza, Fiorita and Caruso, to the regional councilors Bruno, Greco and Falcomatà; from the former socialist minister Aurelio Misiti, to the former deputy minister and undersecretary Mario Tassone. Socialists, former DC, PD exponents of today (the provincial secretary of Catanzaro, Gregorio Gallello, for example) and of yesterday (the former candidate for mayor of Lamezia Terme for the PD, Doris Lo Moro).
Thus the numbers offered by Cersosimo – in a “destruens”, i.e. critical, approach, aim to be the basis for the launch of a “costruens” platform which will find space in a subsequent meeting and from which ideas can be born to be brought to the attention of anyone who wants to grasp them.
