Let’s say that there are still many open wounds, but thanks to the therapeutic path that I am following at the CSM in Cosenza I am trying to overcome these dynamics of the past.” This was said by Rosa Vespa, the woman who in January 2025 kidnapped a newborn baby from a private clinic in Cosenza, after having faked the pregnancy, interviewed by Gianluigi Nuzzi in today’s episode of «Dentro la notizia» on Canale 5.
«My husband – said the woman – understood that unfortunately I was not well. I thank him and admire him because he is a special person, because he understood what my drama was, he stood by me. I didn’t scheme and I didn’t plan. I remember wandering around the clinic, no one ever stopped me.”
When asked about a possible meeting with the mother of the kidnapped girl, he replied: «Yes, I tried to contact her. I understand that on the other hand, unfortunately, you too have suffered great pain. For the moment there has been no approach, but I tried.” Finally, when asked about a possible desire for motherhood, Rosa Vespa said she “just wanted to take my life back slowly and repair the damage done”.
