A weekend full of results for Calabrian table tennis, which collected victories and placings in the various Open tournaments played in Italy, bringing the colors of the region high.
Manfredi protagonist in Bordighera
In the tournament held in Bordighera on 12 and 13 September, Antonio Manfredi of Nuova Luzzi ranked first in Open 5, reserved for the 2001-6000 men’s and 151-500 women’s categories.
Manfredi also took third place in Open 3, reserved for the men’s 451-2500 and women’s 26-200 categories.
The placings in Martina Franca
Positive results also in the fifth City of Martina Franca Tournament for Casper. Michele D’Amico and Marco Olica both achieved third place in Open 2, reserved for the men’s 121-1500 and women’s 9-100 categories.
The victories in the Reggio Calabria tournament
In the Open tournament held in Reggio Calabria, Mariagrazia Mastroianni of Conflenti won Open 7, reserved for categories from position 5001 onwards in the men’s and from 351 onwards in the women’s.
Success also for Ilario Sorgiovanni of Casper, winner of Open 5, reserved for the 2001-6000 men’s and 151-500 women’s categories.
In the Open 5 men’s and women’s doubles, the pairs formed by Adolfo Cavallari and Donato Gulli and Raffaele Franchini and Ilario Sorgiovanni, all from Casper, took third place ex aequo.
Victories and placings that confirm the growth of the Calabrian tennis movement and the quality of the work carried out by the clubs, technicians and athletes. The FITeT Calabria Committee congratulated all the protagonists of the weekend and their respective clubs.
