A 46-year-old was arrested red-handed for stalking on Tuesday afternoon in Santa Lucia del Mela. The elderly man who asked for help on the emergency number 112, had reported a dispute in his home. The soldiers of the local station and the Radiomobile Section of the Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto Company intervened on site.

According to what was reconstructed by the police, the son continued to make threats and verbal attacks on the parent even in their presence. The military stopped the conduct and, based on the information gathered, proceeded with the arrest. The man, already known to the police and subjected to special public security surveillance with an obligation to stay, was transferred to the Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto prison, on the orders of the Prosecutor’s Office directed by Giuseppe Verzera.
