Calabria risks withering within estimates that follow the thread of a constant trend that pushes this land towards a demographic destiny that appears irreversible. However, it is no longer just a question of impoverishment at the registry office between empty cradles, uncompetitive services, youth emigration and aging residents. The demographic crisis risks bringing the curtain down on entire portions of the traditional production sectors which are the engine of the region’s economy. The alarm comes from the CNEL which, in recent days, published the report “Young Expats. How to make them return”. A study which shows that it is mainly young people who leave, often the most educated, and with them go skills, future incomes, families, consumption and the possibility of replacement.
