The Calabrians are tired. Tired of a tiredness that passes through the countryside, companies, the roads traveled every day by cars and trucks and that enters homes, shattering family budgets. A feeling of increasing pressure that takes shape at the fuel stations and moves into everyday life. And here the bill is particularly high. In February self-service diesel cost on average 1.721 euros per litre. Yesterday, in Calabria, it reached 2.375 euros: 65.4 cents more, an increase of almost 38%. For petrol it went from 1.668 to 2.180 euros, with an increase of 51.2 cents, over 30%. These are heavy numbers in a land in which the car remains, for a significant part of the population, an almost indispensable tool for reaching work, school, services, hospitals and urban centres.
